Dated? Yeah it's old but is addictive as it was when it was new, this game never will lose it's shine.

this is an awsome game and even better on the psx/saturn, loved the graphics update, though you can play the original version too. Bubble bobble remains unaltered and in my opinion is the greatest 2 player platformer ever made.

does anyone know where I could get the soundtrack to this version?

It's almost like watching Rainbow Brite :P
I loved this game so much when i was a kid :) Still funny tho :)

Wow... I never though Rainbow Islands would be popular enough for a remake...
This looks so much smoother. I must play it.
Sega clearly knew what the jazz was all about. It's a damn shame they don't make consoles any more...

WHY DO THEY ALL WANT A PIECE OF PAPER WITH THE BUBBLE BOBBLE LOGO ON IT?!

does anybody now were i can download it?

I never even knew about this version. It was a great game, I remember it very well. While it is a shame it doesn't have the original music it's still got quite a catchy tune and it suits the game.

i love both the original and remix, someone said why not the original music. So i got a good idea. Lets have a remix with exactly the same music and exactly the same graphics. HHHmmmm

They probably change the music due to copyright reasons.

Thats what spoilt it for me, looks great but needs the original tune!!
Wow I like the improved graphics in the Saturn version! Does Bubble Bobble have upgraded graphics too? Can you set the games to the original sprites?

I think bubble bobble hasn't been changed and theres also the original version of rainbow islands on there.
Since you got a pc engine super cd-rom you could also check out that version. I think its pretty true to the original last time I remember with a really cool j-pop ending. Although that version really does offer nothing new
