  • hahaha I LOVE SPRINGBOKS they are soooo funny

  • My horse did this to me once.

  • Did you film this with a toaster?

jselicha has it right. It is a signal to the predator that it's a waste of time to chase the stotting gazelle, since it is young and healthy. stotters don't get eaten.

  • its also called "stotting". apparently its a defence mechanism, a signal to the other gazelles that there is danger. but by giving the signal it moves slower than the other gazelles who run away straight away. it sort of puts itself in danger to save the others. and who said evolution was all about everyone being out for themselves!

  • They are so incredibly agile. Fascinating how they move when pronking.

  • 0:06 is the cutest thing ever!

  • cool vid
