If everyone had the same taste in music, your taste in music, the world would be a very, very dull place. It's great to share music you like, putting a link on youtube usually doesn't attract many people however; neither does rambling on and on for pages and pages like you are some religious nutcase.

Check out the hit song from the band Starbuck from the 70's. You never heard of them, they were not a big band, are a perfect example of how musicians, even unknown ones were better in every way. The vid of them playing is cool.

Also, look at Men At Work, check out he song Overkill and check out the lead guitar part.

culture club had artistic integrity and talent. There songs are much better and more sophisticated and even the simple songs are better stock, better arranged. Compare Eric Clapton or Billy Gibbons to Dan: this is not an opinion , ione is average the others are superb (raw ability, technique, talent).. My advice for kids who may be born with raw talent is to study the 50's cats and you will develop into an awesome musician ( as awesome as 60's )just as the 60's musicians studied the pioneer

Today, people who are successful in mainstream music are too young to successfully incorporate the good ideas from that era, and instead infuse their musical vision with unpure ideas ( like in pop its the synth doing that peedictable rythm: e v ery body everyybody) . Its all been done before and todays musicans take the bad parts and draw on it as if this is the thing to do. Even though its a diff world today, TBK got popular not because there music but because of how low music has sunk
