@LuckyLuciao When the players are chosen deliberately around talent and the similar influences and individually on talent and compositional ability and mojo, better music is created, an optimization in the listening experience occurs, and the material and artistic vision is more long lasting and has the chance to evolve . We know in rock its all been done before, the great players can nod to their forefathers without being phony and contrived.

@LuckyLuciao I happen to know one such player and he "has it". He could easily play in any classic rock band that needed a guitarist or bassist pronto and play with the same feel hit the same notes and does his own thing too. There is simply nobody like a guy like this, and as you might imagine it difficult to find players on his level, because there aint no real rock scene anymore. I need to fill out the group I am assembling

@LuckyLuciao Why is the industry having trouble selling music. They could recreat ethe 60's if they took the time to find and stay with real deal players that they could form super groups around talent over trends and HD culture and see a longer ROI on this approach. You want to join me.

@LuckyLuciao Sure some songs could be good, but the discography is not as robust as other bands with individual high musical talent. This is definitely true.
Now anyone can afford and instrument and record at home and play it on youttube-but where are the Rush, YEs, Eagles, Zappa, Hendrix. Where are the songs that will be remembered in 40 yrs.

@LuckyLuciao music has been made into a highly sell able commodity, and parallels others in mass media. Unfortunately the integrity artistic and otherwise has been compromised starting in the 90's Indie bands are not my focus because i dont consider most bands to have an instrumental skill or ability to do anything other than stumble upon cliche chord progressions are to copy other bands.

@LuckyLuciao Much of my comments are actual replies to those who want to take my pbservations about he state of music as being linked to arrogance, as a result I have fun dancing a bit with those commenter. These are the comments unfortunately people read and become incensed with. While it does not help my case (for the focus to be on the context of the review as a 3rd party observer and not an egoist) Again, why anyone would bother to analyze my priorities is beyond me.

@KingZogIII tbk regurgitate ok, roots music (so its slightly better than Beiber), but its not earnest or cool because they dont play it well, in any way and listening to the original is what cool is about.
-
@KingZogIII but the bands i mentioned, all rle and players like the legened als: Black Crowes (Jimmy Page frpm Zep played a whole tor with them)
'artists' today are clueless. 60-70, early 80's produced all the sound they're copying now and calling it 'new sound'. Rap is nothing more than whining without a tune.
Kids today don't have sh_t on what we had, their music won't be remembered
