@johnjablonsky I don't hate god - I can't hate what isn't there. What I dislike is having religion forced on me, especially by the State. I have not only read John, I studied it for two years. There's not a shred of evidence for "repent or go to hell", so I don't have to make that choice. Ancient texts by primitive Middle Eastern tribesmen don't count as evidence - they're just words, and words alone prove nothing.

I am as happy with myself as can be expected, and much happier with myself than many believers I know. Would you respect a belief that the Earth is flat? Or that Asians/Africans/Europeans (take your pick) are sub-human? I doubt it - beliefs have to *earn* respect on their merits. You are trying to claim special privileged exemption from that requirement for religion, and it ain't going to happen.
