@requiem762 He didn't want to destroy the world. He wanted to rule. That's why there were still towns and people he subjugated in the world of ruin instead of killing them outright. And he still lost.

@blazifox16 Kefka became the God of Magic and actually succeeded in his goal of destroying the world. He'd wipe the floor with Sephiroth.

I'll be honest; I've not really played a Final Fantasy game (no offence, but RPGs aren't entirely my thing), but that doesn't stop me appreciating the music. Heck, I really like this song.

@SephyClone7 Characters that really have no other reason for being able to do so. If taken out of the context of those stories and placed into a more "realistic" scenario, they'd both be "gods", but I still believe Kefka would be the more powerful of the two, just solely based on what he actually did, and how utterly insane he actually was to begin with. Just my two cents, though, so take of that what you will.
