It is simple, where did the bible come from? There was no bible for almost 400 years. If there was no bible then the Church of Jesus preceded the bible. It was the authority of the Church that determined which books were consistent with the Traditional teachings of Jesus and His Church. Thus the Church that canonized the bible has the authentic interpretation of the bible.
Pretty simple.

Why does good need us to tell him that he's awesome everyday? He's omniscient after all. Surely he should have greater self esteem. What a narcissist.
If you think about it, religon is more for our sake than god's, but then it's pretty evidant that people are easily capable of leading moral and fufilling lives without religon.
And proving the existance of heaven or hell is yet greater folly than proving god.
