@blackhawkdogs I flew for Southwest forever and I haven't had any problems with them. To me it's more like "SouthBest Airlines". And the reason I say that is cause they're cheap, nice, always on time and mostly early, and free drinks. So I don't really see how you don't like Southwest.

What does that pipe do from the jetway to the aircraft?

That actually is a power cable to provide power to the plane. Pilots turn off the engines and APU to save fuel and use only electric from the jetway!
