the speedo problem is a wire under the truck near the tranny. my truck did the same thing and when i was under the truck i saw that it was a little lose so i fixed it and now the speedo always works.

How does your truck ride?
If there is anything else you can tell me about ride, suspension, driveability, cold starts, problems, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Again

@mydogisjohn I know this is really late but i'll respond anyway. The 1ton 2wd aren't to bad at all, but the rear is going to be very stiff obviously. The 4wd 1ton in my opinion is very rough, stiff, and the steering can be a bit sloppy. The 4wd's also tend to have more front end problems than the 2wd.

Yeah people would give me weird looks, then I would have to explain to them what I am trying to say. Its a 3/4 ton truck with a 1ton rear axle under it. someone swapped out the axle when they put the flatbed on it.

I got a neighbor with one of these old Cummins engines, I love when he leaves his driveway, he's got a stick (guessing 4spd) and just pins it. Nothing better to listen to.

Yup, I love to drive this diesel in the winter, nothing like the smell of burned diesel in the morning dew!
