    Actually it is the "Marines' Hymn."

    But that is just semantics, and also the Titles are interchangeable in practice. The one used here is for the benefit of those outside the U.S. so that to whom the Title refers to might be less ambiguous.

    But true, the official title is "Marines' Hymn."

  • I became a Marine to learn how to fight and I'm not talking boxing or karate, I mean shooting people with a rifle or when it is out of ammo - beating their brains out with the stock of the weapon I hold. I will kill to defend my Constitution by what ever means I am able to. This is what the Corps (pronounced Core) has taught me to do. Let America fall, I will pick up the Constitution and this document as a blue print to start over. I will never forget my Oath.

    That picture represents the "Old Corps" I was a Sergeant in the Corps and I didn't have crossed rifles under my chevrons. Those came later. In late 1959, I believe.

  • on both sides we had men and 2 women in the service of the country. from 1770 to two years ago.(iretired) but this is our family and i am very proud. this song makes me stand with pride!!
