The Lake Show Part I

In 1996 I had the idea for a Laker Talk Show. Everyday fans, season ticket holders and celebrity fans would be interviewed from week to week about everything Lakers. It was part documentary, part reality show all wrapped into a talk show format.

I created a pilot and got into the hands of John Black in the Laker PR Office. They respectfully declined.

Looking back 13 years, there are some interesting comments and points of view from the fans I interviewed. Remember, this was the first year that Shaq and Kobe became Lakers. The fans were skeptical, one even thought Kobe would be a flop! I also ask them their thoughts about the move away from the Forum and into Staples Center.
