We have heard of other accounts of counting years, etc, where the age of Aisha is shown to be higher, but that is not any reason to insult a hadith scholar or claim lies.

I believe that Abu Bakr went and asked the other family, and they accepted to break the engagement without a problem before agreeing to the new engagement. Also, I do not think there are major restrictions or judicial requirements in Islam for breaking an engagement.
