Note the time remaining there on the listing. The hackers can bypass ebay's alleged "fraud filters"
That is a sign of HACKING, as opposed to simple "account take over"

Note that as we se here in the video, ebay did remove the listing very quickly, apparently.

UPDATE 09-06-2007,
The very same account is still under attack: it shows 238 iPhones listed.

This same thing happened to me EXACTLY!! even down to the price of the IPhones, Same exact wording in auction too, 24 hour auctions!! how many people have this happened to them??

Hello ukisoktoo.

Sorry to hear that. Hope u got everything taken care of. Many folks received bills and collection notices for the hijacked listings even though ebaY KNEW they were FRAUD. I've even had folks IRL tell me the same horror stories now. Same MO all the time. Makes u wonder why ebaY can't or doesn't stop them? maybe because they make money for ebay, eh? As far as the numbers of victims/listings thus far? Anyone's guess? Likely in the 100,000s by now. Could be much more.

anytime a fake account is reported to ebay it is shut down, why dont you report them to ebay instead of wasting youtube space? your not helping anyone here

johnmonk66, that is simply NOT true. I've documented many examples. ebay does NOT always remove the fake listings, further, they keep coming back time & again. They do however remove posts which warn hapless users of the hazards. I cite the jimmycry 60K + fake item episode & the 9-25-07 Trust & Safety bd incident, where evidence of hacking was removed loooong before they ever started correcting any problems; removing fake listings, shutting down forums,then LIES were spewed

Lemme tell you something else johnmonk66. Look around! Plenty of people have thanked me for warning them and saving them from being scammed w these vids. More privately.

When reported, users NARUd, FAKE listings STAYED

Viewers should realize this is only tiny fraction of 1 facet of the scams on ebay.

Hello sprintman20 Sadly it seems that ebay and IT's fanatic supporters do not enjoy or appreciate these vids, yet they do NOTHING to clean up the site & protect the users.

They seem to love to harass anyone who dares to tell the facts about things like the FACT that their website is not safe, nor can or should it be trusted, IMO.
