After being attacked by a bacteriophage, Hannah (Hannah Sutherland) finds herself flung into the middle of an intense conflict. The government is furiously attempting to rid the city of the infection before any more people, or prokaryotes, are contaminated. The eccentric Dr. Buttercup (Zach Fitzpatrick) seems to be the only hope for Hannah's survival, casting light on the mystery that is quickly unfolding before her eyes.
