It actually in price ranges from 10-90 bucks a pop really. Though Most people I've talked to mention it doesn't taste like much. It's mostly just to kinda state one's importance.

I don't think anyone EVER eats it on a regular basis. I have eaten it, Chinese New Year, any type of celebration we would have it, although my family is pretty well off. We usually have it in a broth, and it has a very delicious and amazing texture.
Most people believe the cutting fins and dumping back into the ocean, which is true, this does happen, but most of the fins come from a shark that has been used for all it's body, not just it's fins.
