Petit Le Mans - Road Atlanta - Sept. 26, 2009 (HD)

About 4 minutes of footage I shot at the 2009 Petit Le Mans. Race was stopped a little over 4 hours into it on account of rain. I had only filmed from 3 spots at that point so there isn't too much variety in the action. This was the first real use of my new Canon HF S-100. I've edited out my shaky footage (no tripod) but have not altered the video otherwise.

Very nice footage. It almost looks like it was recorded in 24p.

Just got the camera and I know its capable of 24p and I think thats how I've been filming. Could be wrong.

@punkcoop auch...that's pretty expensive, we pay about 35 euro's (30 dollars) for 1000km of Spa-Francorchamps.

I recommend that you put yourself in a position that you do not pan the camera so much. Let the action come to you, or going away from you rather than trying to follow the action. Thanks for the footage. It gave me an idea what the petit le mans race is like.

I've always wanted to watch this class race at Road Atlanta in person, it is one of my top favorite tracks. I live in California and attend each year at Laguna Seca. How much are the tickets there?

Thanks for the video, what a shame it rained us out...at least we were able to finish our beer before slipping in the red clay up by turn two :-(

The race started at approx. 11:15am and was red-flagged just past 4pm.

It was a great day for walking around, except for the downpour that ended it all!
