it's suprising that ou have such a beautiful tone, as your main instrument is oboe. Wow, kudos! Normally the emboucher used for oboe ruins the ebmoucher needed for flute.

Hey! so i asked a friend of mine to help me pick out a solo for next years competion..now, he is a sax player..he picked it out for me and i LOVE it! i am planing on playing it next year at solo and ensemble as a sophmore..wish me luck! im gonna try to memorize it!

As a fellow flute player, I'd say the only critique I would have is to control your air stream a bit more specifically when you have those jumps. But your tune is fantastic. And your vibrato is even better. That's very cool that you just picked up flute for fun. You're a fantastic player. Really. :]

You really have some great things going for you. Your vibrato is great for this piece. Just don't be afraid of putting yourself into the music. Play more than just what's on the page. Let yourself develope a musical interpritation, then your audience will truely ejoy (and be impressed by) your playing. Keep up the good work!

Your video of "Syrinx" was the first one my 11th grade daughter saw. It inspired her to change her solo piece to this since she wouldn't have an accompanist at a state solo and ensemble competition. She impressed her flute teacher by wanting to play this. It's a great tone piece and of course she got a 1. Thanks for your inspiration :)
