The leap from mgs on the playstation to this is pretty amazing,even in this rough demo you can tell just how much they wanted to achieve.

@jesse41993 Possibly. All I thought they changed was the sword thing, but this seems like a possibility (far more probable than creating a whole new fucking game in the course of two months)

@aerocmetallica1995 From what I read what was scrapped because of 9/11 was a huge boss battle involving Metal Gear going through New York and destroying a lot of its tourist attractions so instead we got the final sword fight.

@MultiUncensored I can read, thank you. However, it's clear that there's no way in hell that they could've completely changed the plot, setting, and main character in the course of two months (not even considering the process of creating copies); that's a lot of development time. Plus, I know Raiden, Solidus, etc. were in the original plot because before 9/11 they planned to have Raiden cut down an American flag to drape over Solidus (a president's burial), but that was scrapped because of 9/11.

@DarrelHerring Raiden was never supposed to be in the game, the whole game was meant to take place on aircraft carrier taken over by Liquid Snake but that was scrapped after 911 and we got Raiden instead.
