""Don't trust governments" another paranoid arse!"

The only way that democracy works is if people don't trust the government. Oversight and policing of governments is vital to the maintenance of any free and open society. Don't confuse this with the case of the paranoid person who constantly fears that "the government is out to get us."

  • @TheFaustianMan

"Every scientist dreams of a world without ethics."

That's not just wrong, it's ridiculous. Tell me, what brought you to this conclusion.

  • @TheFaustianMan

You are just wrong on every account. People in developing countries are going to be by far the first and hardest hit by climate change.

"Most "good' technology first began as weapons research." That's a load of crap. How much of modern medical technology began as weapons research? Did the Wright Brothers build their plane as weapons research?

And just because there are bigger problems, he shouldn't be allowed to talk about something like arthritis?

    Give me a fucking break.

  • Saw him on Monday. Amazing. He started off: (Him wandering around) Um.... (Silence) Sorry.

Then he gave a brilliant lecture. If you asked a question, he got off the stage and ran over to you so he could hear you properly. A great man. ; )
