really interesting topic. coming towards the end on avatars and how we live our lives separately in a sense that the character/s we project, strengthened by the approval or recognition of others, end up fighting for supremacy (competing with the real existing you as in the case of Marilyn Monroe). very nice, now on to part2 :D

Proclaiming that new technology is not illuminating from the greatness of the sun is his contention - and a very contentious one. He is point to a real trend that may be exposed online but it is another step to suggest it is a fundamentally bad by it's nature.
The light coming from our screens - it's energy in reality comes from the same source that any light has ever come from. It all goes back to energy from the Big Bang.

I thought this discussion was interesting but also quite self-inflicting in some ways.
