  • @gregg4 bananas depend on how ripe they are for the carbs, and my info came straight from a college nutrition book. After your initial energy burn your body looks for stored energy and will pull it from stored fat and muscle if you are not consuming the fat you need. Fat is your bodies prefered energy source and is much more packed you can also eat less fat and get more energy i can get 540 calories from 60g of fat were i need 135g of carbs to equal the energy.

  • @thevansleaving

That's not true. I work in a factory, hard work, standing all day long. I can eat just six bananas and have enough energy for 4 hours. Carbs is what the body wants to use as energy.

The body can only use 100g of carbs? I wonder where you get that info from.

In any case, according to nutritiondata(dot)com an average banana of 100g has about 90 calories (over 90% carbs). Six bananas would be 540 calories. That's a quarter my recommended intake of calories from bananas alone.

  • @gregg4 the problem with that is you would literally need to be eating constantly your body gets 60% of its energy from fat not to mention all the other things it uses it for, while your body can only use about 100g of carbs and the energy gained from it only last 1 to 2 hours then it needs energy from somewhere so it goes to fat. studies have found that the healthiest people have a 55% fat, 25% carb, 20% protein diet or moderate carb high fat diet.

  • Hello! Have you considered cleverous 402 diet (google it)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy lost a lot of weight with it.

  • This is by far the best video on fats I have seen on YouTube. It's precisiely what Mary G. Enig told ten ears before in her book "Fact about Fats". Too bad this video wasn't online before, it would have saved me a lot of confusion.

  • @fabiochrist yep, what's wrong with tasting great?

All these today steretype 'healthy diet' just lame!!!!

Think about it, the healthy diet is trying to alter our traditional diet, that's crazy.

I mean, after thousands of thousands years of evolving, human beings got to where we are today.

Our digestive system is designed for the traditional way of diet.

Yeah, we have to avoid highly processed food, and artifical flavours, which are way to new for our human bodies.

  • Thank you for such an informative video. There's so much confusion on the topic, therefore it's especially useful to hear the truth about fats. It would be very interesting to learn more, so I am really looking forward to the next videos!

  • Great video!!
