The real great mezzo, and beautiful voice and colour

THIS is an authentic mezzo, without the artificial darkening of tone as most of today's mezzos do (Smirnova, Rachvelishvili, Krasteva etc.)

But I still think that Zajick is unbeatable today in the dramatic Verdi repertoire.

Didn't think I liked Borodina very much, but now I do. That passage she did very softly and high toward the end was gorgeous... impressive for a mezzo.
