Michael Collins needs no Formal Introduction. Born on the 16 of october 1890 near Sams Crooss in County Cork. Michael sereed in the 1916 Rising as a captain and after the rising he was sent to a prison in wales. Released befroe christmass Collins came back to Ireland and was involved with the irb. He became the Minister of Finance in the Very first Dail and he was also a Intelligance directer for the IRA. Collins was sent over to london to negotiate the Anglo Irish treaty. The first writen agreement of its type ever between Briton and Ireland. In the Civil War Collins was Commander in Chef of the Irish Free State Army and was Killed in his home County of Cork in a place called Beal na Mblath when his convoy was attacked. He was just 32 years old when he died. RIP Micheál Eoin ó Coileáin. And Happy Birthday

    Collins and his fellow terrorists achieved nothing that had not already been decided by Westminster in 1914.

    My family was very much affected by the failed terrorist campaign of 1919-1922.
