Gt is a v8 package 281 ci or better...they did make a few in the 80s that had the 300 straight 6 that came in the f150 4x4 but that was the tail end of the mustang 2 era...you can order 4 engines for the base gt w/o shelby or roush packages the 281 side oiler (4.6) no longer produced as of 2011 the 302 5.0 the 350 r tuned 5.0 and the stage 3 350Sr also ava. In the roush and saleen. Thats fords biggest production sports car motor....
