I finally built the servo controlled robot arm and this is a video of the first test. Only two servos are used here because I just quickly tested a couple of servos with a two-channel RC-controller.
Next thing on the list is the making of the control electronics. I'm going to build a new version of my own servo controller for this project.

I like you servo mounting system. It's much simpler than those $12 brackets they sell on the internet. Any possibility I can get a closer view?

I too wish to repeat your efforts. I'm impressed with your work. I would love to have one of these for my Technology Education classes to work with. Any chance you can share more details like a bill of materials to get me started? I'm Ron Vickers, Luray High School, VA rvickers@pagecounty.k12.va.us

He's using servos from RC models. That's the main cost. Shops with RC "toys" have such things.
