Thanks!!. I was there all those years ago with the girl who is now my wife. I've looked back over the set list for that day and had forgotten so many of the acts but the one thing I remember more than anything is this song. I doubt I'll ever hear anyone sing better in my life.
Other memories from the day include Biko by Peter Gabriel, Money for Nothing by Dire Straits, everyone chanting "How long to sing this song" expecting U2 to be there and missing our train back to Blackpool!

omg.. that was the "Woodstock" of our generation! It's blurry, it's black and white, it's mono,.. and still it's 5 Stars!!!!!
Thank you so much for posting this! Unfortunately there was only a cut-down-dvd available which was missing most of the great performances.
Dire Straits/Clapton, Marillion, Eurythmics, Midge Ure, Tracy Chapman,..
I still remember seeing that concert on TV,.. not even owning a VCR. Recorded parts of it on music casette.. def. time to search for that tape.

Thank you for posting. I recorded the set those days with my cassette recorder. But what to do with this stuff nowadays?
Anyhow, one of the best of performances of the Eurythmics released on tape. Very very good. I had the joy to see them back in 88 in Basel as support act to Tina Turner. Well,... Annie was by far more than support to Tina. And a great surprise for me. Until then Annie is one of my best beloved Divas of all times ;-)

It's not a B&W video but it has been recorded on french TV show so it's not a PAL video but SECAM and final cut pro doesn't recognize this format, so I've to turn it into B&W
