  • Beautiful layout and model. Thanks for posting.

  • @RichmanJ93 Thanks! Bill R

  • @billr991 yes you did, & they look great!

  • @RichmanJ93 I never noticed that the current draw was excessive, so you made me curious. Just now, I went down and measured it. The four locos together draw 0.78 amps at full throttle, .42 amps at 50% throttle. Scale speed is 86 mph at 100%, and 45 mph at 50%. Track for measurements is straight and level, no cars. The 12 car consist does not seem to make much difference, though there is some current draw for car lighting. I guess I got lucky and got the good ones in the litter.

  • @billr991 how many amps does each loco pull? My friend has a couple & they had to be re-powered due to high current draw.

  • @RichmanJ93 I got the locos several years ago at Caboose Hobbies. They are Walthers Proto 2000. They were DC, so I installed some inexpensive Digitrax decoders. They do not have sound, but all four units are powered. Bill R.

  • @Thunderheadpros That would be great. Bill R

  • who makes the locos?
