@lovehannahkim Actually, many pop songs follow 8 count structures with similar tempos, so this isn't unusual and not specific to Korean music at all.
This dance was by a Japanese choreographer (who lives in America and is now part of the Pussycat Dolls) and the music is by a production company in Indianapolis.

i think its because in korea, it is said that there are certain beats that appeal to a large audience. so lots of music producers use that beat in korea. so both noona is pretty and u go girl might have used similar beats.
