Ross MacKay is a Dj from Dublin, Ireland who has been spinning dance music for over a decade. He began his career through pirate radio stations and began to play at clubs and raves all across Ireland in the late nineties. Ross quickly gained a reputation in the underground scene for his unique dirty house & electro sound. In the summer of 2004 Ross MacKay took a residency at The London Underground in Fuengirola, Spain where he played 7 hour sets every Friday and Saturday to a packed club every night. On his return to Ireland Rosss mixture of tech-house and electro got him noticed by Irelands biggest clubbing brand Letrik. Ross was signed by Letrik in 2006 as one of their main support Djs and has since played alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Judge Jules, Tidy Boys, Scot Project and also some of the newest up and coming Producers on the circuit i.e. Sander Van Doorn, Richard Durrand, Sean Tyas and Matt Hardwick. John Gibbons voted Ross MacKay best Irish Dj of 2007. After an impressive New Years Eve countdown at superclub Heaven, Seoul, Ross MacKay was the first Dj to play to its packed house in 2010 amongst flames and confetti.

Ross MacKay has now made Asia his home and has quickly established himself as one of Seouls most sought-after Djs. Since his arrival Ross has already headlined gigs in two of South Koreas biggest cities Seoul and Busan. Groove magazine called Ross one of the most intense DJs to land in Seoul, whos connection to his dance floor is unrivaled at the moment. Ross MacKay can only be found playing in the best clubs in South Korea and his upbeat and dirty house sound is something for all clubbers.

그는 라디오 해적방송(무허가 방송)에서 처음 활동을 시작하여 클럽으로 진출했고 90년대 후반에는 아일랜드 전역에서 왕성한 활동을 하였다. 맥케이는 그의 독특한 dirty house & electro sound로 언더그라운드에서 곧 주목을 받기 시작했다. 2004년 여름, 그는 스페인의 푸엔지롤라(Fuengirola)에 있는 영국 언더그라운드에 자리를 잡고 매 금요일과 토요일마다 700여명의 관중들과 음악 파티를 벌였다. 본국 아일랜드로 돌아오자마자 아일랜드의 가장 큰 클럽 브랜드인 Letrik는 그의 tech-house와 electro 믹 스에 관심을 갖고 그를 영입하였다. 그는 2006년도부터 Letrik의 메인 서포트 DJ로서 Judge Jules, Tidy Boys, Scot Project 등 유명 DJ들과 함께 활동했으며, 또한 Sander Van Doorn, Richard Durrand, Sean Tyas, Matt Hardwick과 같은 신예 프로듀서들과 순회 공연을 하였다. John Gibbons는 2007 최고 아이리시 DJ로 Mackay를 뽑았다. Mackay는 서울에있는 최고클럽인 Heaven에서 인상적인 새해 카운트 다운 시작 후 화려한 불꽃과 휘날레 속에서 2010년 제일 먼저 하우스 뮤직을 진행한 DJ이었다.

현재 맥케이는 아시아에 거주하 고 있으며 곧 그는 서울에서 가장 선호되는DJ가 되었다. 한국에 온 후, 그는 이미 한국의 주요 도시인 서울과 부산에서 큰 공연을 했다. Groove magazine은 그에 대해, 서울에서 공연했던 DJ 중 가장 강렬한 DJ 중 하나이며, 그가 공연하는 순간 댄스플로어 와 그는 천하무적으로 하나가 되는 듯 하다라고 평했다. 맥케이는 한국의 최고의 클럽에서만 볼 수 있으며 그의 upbeat와 dirty house sound는 클럽을 사랑하는 사람들을 충분히 만족시킬 듯하다.
