  • Now I understand what they mean when they say, " a lump in my throat ". I am 57 year's old and this took me back into a time when we blacks had to live in one section of the city, this was in the 50's and the 60's. We had to depend on each other, and are church and faith was very important back then. Also the church was the center of our social life, and extended family. The young people in this clip seem so happy and unitted. I t has been along time since I felt such joy. Bless you...

  • that was great!!! If I may ask, who is this piece arranged by?

  • @tom19122 Yes, Doris Akers is the original composer of this song. However, this arrangement that they are singing is by Robert Morris. Songs can be arranged later by anyone. I have the score to THIS arrangement.

  • @JayBeeThree NO! It was Doris Akers!
