Springsteen - DVD Hamburg 21.06.2008 - Sample #1 - Something In The Night

At the moment I am working on my third Springsteen (non-profit) DVD project.
Although there is not a single (nearly) complete recording of the Hamburg '08 show, it is my ambition to create a DVD of the entire show. Therefore I contacted dozens of fans via various Bruce fan boards and asked for recordings. I received a lot of support, especially from the folks at Stonepony.de.

Now, after months of collecting videos, I started to put the whole thing together - there are more than 200 single clips waiting to be assembled. Unfortunately at 4 songs there are still some parts missing. I will have to fix that by using a photo slideshow...
The audio comes from a matrix, that "badabing" has created for this project - mixing his own great recording with the Crystal Cat version.

So this is the first sample, of what "Something In The Night" might look like.

Eigentlich habe ich die DVD schon lange fertig - ich bekomme abber immer noch Aufnahmen, die ich zur Verbesserung einarbeite....Mitte August ist aber definitiv alles fertig !

IMO, Bruce Springsteen is the greatest living singer/songwriter in the world, maybe ever, better even than Bob Dylan (and a far, far better performer than Dylan), although I don't say that to start an argument. You'd have to be a fool to fail to recognize that Dylan (and the Beatles) are the most influential artists since the invention of amplification. Bruce, himself, has enormous respect for Bob.

I just prefer Bruce. And Something in the Night? Fantastic.
