Rolf, wearing traditional Swedish folk dress, is constantly looking for things that will reconnect him with ‘the old country,’ about which he speaks warmly and somewhat obsessively if not particularly knowledgeably. The first spot opens on a house in a forest, where Rolf appears to live and is being interviewed. Yet, as the camera spins around, we realize we’re in Central Park, with the towering Manhattan skyline in the background. We then follow Rolf to a local deli to look for Swedish food.
