Why do I find myself afraid
A sudden darkness fills the air
I know I should not be afraid
the smell of smoke is everywhere
the blasphemers and the obscene
feed this blaze with kerosene
smoldering in fervent hearts
it burns white-hot when shooting starts
in a world on fire
it's better to burn than drown
we go ring-around-the-rosie now,
and soon we'll all fall down
You know with every revolution
we take it a bit too far
and we're dancing round in circles
because we don't know where we are
Why do I find myself afraid
A sudden darkness fills the air
I know I should not be afraid
the smell of smoke is everywhere
A stream of taunt gut-wrenching scenes
ripped from the air and magazines
electric cannibals and cops
A high-speed chase that never stops
