Cheerios Kid and Sue: Shark

In this 1980's commercial, the Cheerios Kid's "girlfriend" Sue--complete with a new brunette look--downs the cereal with her beau to take on a children-devouring shark! Thankfully, the children eat Cheerios and knock the shark silly, and inside this box of Cheerios is Skittles candy!

I know that they don't show these commercials anymore, but has he received any royalty every time they showed these commercial?

Yes, every time it's shown they get paid..so if you see if once on say ABC in NY they get paid 3 times...EST, MST & PST...Kids can usually make about 16,000 per commercial..

But he was a "Kid" when this commercial was aired. I doubt being a commercial star means much when compared to TV and movie stars.

Voice over work is one of the more profitable parts of the business. He not only did all the Cheerios commercials, but all the General Mills animated commercials for 3 1/2 years...plus all the other products & companies owned by GM such as restaurants, foods, etc. He was considered the best voice over kid in NY for 3 1/2 years making over 6 figures a year. Not bad for a 9 year old...
