You seem to suggest that the younger a person someone is, the less valid their opinion is. That's basically an argument from antiquity, which is fallacious. The funny thing is that someone could argue (however fallaciously) that since you are so much older, you couldn't possibly understand this newfangled technology.

If they were going to do that they will do it.

They do not need 3D printed guns for that. What is causing this at government/political level is ignorance and ideology.

I'm definitely not afraid of people fabricating weapons. That's not my problem. Many people own weapons and have been for a very long time now. For many I know, it's a hobby, pure and simple. I respect that. But how will our government respond to this is what has me wondering. Will they take advantage and pry further into our lives, becoming more invasive and even bully civilians into turning over their computers and such? That type of crap is something non of us needs...

But why fear an idea such as personal fabrication of guns.

Only those who want to control peoples lives would fear such a concept.

Most of the government is filled with "old white haired wise men" right? Obviously what is being done now is nowhere near working for our world. Old ideas are destroying us.

They can't stop him. The info is already out. The cad files are in heavy circulation, with or without him. To be reverse engineered or updated. That was his tone from day one, of putting his files online. To spread and be there, even if the government took him down.

I say his intentions have nothing to do with guns.

I personally don't think he's a moron. But I sure as hell hope he understand human nature a lot more than the schematics of his technical plans. Because if shit hits the fan (he won't give a crap) but it may bring us a burden we won't want to deal with in the future. Do you trust your gov? ...shit, do you trust anyone? lol... Sad to say, I really don't... And I am seriously sick of this bullshit.

I saw something on the news recently. Did they pull this guy's plug? Because he seemed really peeved. Almost vengeful I'd say... Something about the gov denying him right to distribute gun building plans or something of that sort???

Is it interesting? Perhaps you shouldn't be afraid to ask why. Did I say it won't create a monetary circulation? From the looks of my comment, it looks like you jumped the gun there franky. In fact, I've stated repeatedly that this little invention is all about monetary circulation. But not for the little people. You may think otherwise, but look further into the future. Not just months or even a few years ahead. We're running out of room and we better be ready for drastic change..or else. lol
