One of Rocky Mountain Show Jumping's great judges and good friend Phillip Rozon came across some rare footage from the 1976 Olympic Games in Bromont. The footage is from the Individual & Team Show Jumping.

RMSJ TV is pleased to upload the footage to share with all equestrian fans.

  • It's interesting to see how the horse "type" has changed so much in show jumping from more Thoroughbred-types to big warmbloods.

  • wow - the hearts of those horses and riders are amazing - if not slightly crazy!!

  • Holy crap, wow things have changed soooooooo much

  • It's interesting to see haw much more natural the jumps look compared to the jumps today...

  • @TheHickstead Seems like they ride faster as well.

  • Those fences look to be about 5 foot. I think that this shows how training has evolved in 30 years. Amazing that these horses went X-C the day before and still have this energy. Must be the TB.

  • Long live the thoroughbred!! One of the best breeds out there

  • i feel like that the jumps were more diffucult that it is now

  • these horses are 'fighting with their heads' for a reason... absolutely bonkers course thoughh

  • is it me or were they more aggressive riders? =D

  • wow. yeehaw.
