Not sure if it had gears... the drinkers just have pedals, the driver sits in the front looking forward (no pedals, only a brake!) and has to be sober, so that rather ruled me out even investigating that position! We ended up just grabbing some stray American traveller to do the 'driving', gave him a couple of hundred euros and off we went. We lucked out - he was great and really knew his way around.

It was great - but it's made of tube steel as far as I can tell and was really really heavy and a bugger to cycle! Good thing Amsterdam is so flat & that it came with a keg of hop-flavoured go-go juice!
