Too bad this band didn't record commercially. This is a great band with excellent musicians.

Do you know anything about the Orchestra - never heard of it, and it is really good! What is the label, sounds like an dimestore product.

Hey! This is my grandfather's band! He's Herbert "Marsh". They called themselves the Marsh Bros. cause no one could pronounce our real name, Arntz. The band was him and his twin, Royal and their brothers Irvin and Bernie and those other guys you mentioned. My father has a cassette of all their songs if you ever want to contact him. I never met Herbert; he died of Parkinson's the year my parents got married.

Nice to hear from a relative of Herbert Marsh. These private recordings off the radio are the only recordings I know of by this band. Do you know if the band made any commercial recordings?

The recording is not from a commercially released recording but from an acetate recorded off the air. I found out this recording was made from a radio broadcast over station WNAC at 10:30 PM on May 18,1932. In the band were Al Sudhalter, alto sax (father of Dick Sudhalter) and Andy Ferretti, trumpet. The vocalist was Carl Moore who was the staff vocalist for the radio station. Since this band never seems to have made any commercial recordings they are not listed in any discography.
