Forza Motorsport 3 - Shifting or just arm moving animations ?

This is after the 1st patch which added "shifting" animations. Why did they bother?

This is also what a lot of the interiors look like in Forza 3, dead and non functioning.

What the fuck? What the hell is wrong with your copy of Forza 3? The interiors are extremely detailed with every last gauge modeled and working.

That comment is fanboyish bullshit. Forza 3 looks great, and Forza 4 is even better, with nearly twice the number of Polygons. Jesus man, you can't even type English properly.

@ysflightman I got the same copy as everyone else, so your 1st statement is just completely wrong.

There are more cars like this. I believe even 1 of the first DLC packs had a car that had an interior like this.

And twice the amount of polygons where, that useless Autovista Mode (which is only about 20 cars, unless you buy Turn 10''s ridiculous amount of DLC. I can't believe people will pay for that)

The graphics look too much like the last couple of Need for Speeds for me, shiny/cartoony.

Also, you GT fanboys can't really rag on Forza's cars having differing levels of quality (some are really bad I will admit as a Forza player), when 800 of the 1000 in GT5 will have low detail meshes and textures, and no interiors and most of them imported straight from GT4.

GT5 is going to be great, but don't rag on Forza. Keep in mind there's been 3 Forza games in the time between GT4 and GT5, and GT5 still isn't here yet.

@SaFalken First thing, I am not a fanboy, I am a pissed off former customer.

The problem is Turn 10 deliberately deceived people with their marketing. They clearly stated that all cars would have full interiors and that nothing that was in Forza 2 would be left out of Forza 3, eg Public Custom Lobbies.

Polyphony Digital has been honest about what they are doing with the cars in GT5, and the reasoning for it.

And my car in real life is premium, It's not even in Forza.

@MrLionking17 - WOW, less than 10 cars that look like this. Hell of alot better than GT5s "standard" cars.

- No, in the actual gameplay thanks to Game Engine tweaks and tricks. Much like Halo Reach has twice the polygon count of Halo 3. Besides, racing games aren't very tasking on the GPU.

- Forza 3 is way to dark in lighting. Take a step outside, or watch a race on your television. Forza 3 is the cartoony looking game. Forza 4 and GT5 both have very realistic lighting.
