NOTE: Not a single mp3 of any videos I've done is available anywhere. If It is, it is without my permission. Spammers will be dealt with harshly.

My second entry for the "Go 90's" contest, "Free as a Bird" by the Beatles.

"Free as a Bird" was released on the Beatles Anthology Volume 1 in 1995. Originally left to languish as an unfinished John Lennon solo demo, the (then) three surviving Beatles recovered that song reworked it and finished it.

I haven't done a set of out-takes in a while, so I'll let you in on some of that action. I attempt some other songs in which my testing out some tunes degenerated into hilarity. Special thanks to Kim Neal for her support and letting me borrow her apartment and laptop.

Oh and my hat is made by Hat People. Their hats are awesome. How so? They didn't ask me to plug them. Yes, their hats are that awesome.

  • @jackbliss Really nice of you. But I'm too old to go on Idol. I am also not a pretty girl.

  • Nice man, I've been playing along with my baritone uke

  • Is that a tenor uke?

Cool performance. One of my favorite songs - and very good to hear it on the ukulele.

  • nice great cover my friend :0)

  • you make me cry

  • you make me cray

  • @pleasesubme1000 You're quite helpful ... but you'd be surprised how much my fans know ... including yourself :)

  • @pleasesubme1000 I am quite aware of Beatles history having been in a Beatle cover band in the 90s, organized an annual Beatle night at a local venue and participated in a battle of the bands at Chicago's Beatlefest numerous times. I also know where I was when I heard that Lennon died. I teach music history privately. And yes, I mentioned the information where the song came from in my description.

Thank you for enjoying it though.
