1st Generation Playstation Rant

Every single playstation device that has come out since it was branded has had one problem after another. Each of the first iterations of the consoles have been plagued with problems resulting in numerous versions being brought out to fix the previous consoles problems. My thing is that there are companies that have brought out their consoles without the same bullshit occuring. Take for example the snes, the n64, sega genesis etc etc. those same consoles haven't had the same problems and haven't needed numerous versions so why does the playstation?

Not only did my original PS1 crap out on me, but I went through 4 playstation 2s before I got a PS3. My launch PS2 lasted two years I think?

I never bought a console at launch, especially a Sony console, because they always charge you out the ass for their consoles. Ive had my PS3 slim almost 2 years now and i paid $300.

same with the xbox arcade's they can break so easily, that was my first xbox i had it for 10 months it got the disc unreadable thing. So I got a new one and it has served me well for 4 years. although my PS3 hasn't broke and it's going on a year that I had it so yeah

yes i had all of them and they all went to shit but my ps3 stop playing the way yours did and i went throw 3 ps3 then they gave me the slim now its working good

I would never really buy a game console as soon as it comes out. Everyone has come to realize that systems are not in the best condition and that they need to have time to fix all the bugs and stuff so gamers dont have to buy a whole new system. But by now they should have solved this problem by now...
