Demonstration against Aung San Suu Kyi's House Arrest

This demonstration took place on 28 May 2007, in front of the SPDC Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand - after the SPDC (the Burmese dictatorial government) announced that the house arrest of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the pro-democracy leader in Burma, will be extended for another year, against continuous international pressure to release her. To date, Aung San Suu Kyi has been under house arrest for more than 12 years.

The demonstration was led by a coalition of Thai student actvists and NGOs staff working in Thailand, including the Students Federation of Thailand (SFT), and Activists Society for Change (ASC).
