People are far too insecure to start being independent. They want to run with the group and feel good about not thinking about the issues. They want to say well.....I'M A REPUBLICAN. As if it had some kind of meaning. America has been turned into a country of entertained, collective, conformists. People can't see the "diverse uniformity" for all the bullshit. he used to be independent and he wasnt able to get heard on that platform he has republican ideals so he joined the party that will give him a platform to be able to reach people.  if he was still independent he would probably have never gotten on tv.

Because he's a genuine conservative. Its not his fault most Republicans representatives have trashed the party. Bush was supposed to be a conservative yet he spent 4 times more than any other president in history. Paul is a genuine conservative, most people forgot what that means.
