In this video tutorial, you'll learn how to create a multi-cam edit in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 by setting up different camera angles in separate sequences, and then nesting them into another sequence for synchronizing.

  • why i can't change the camera view by using number while using multi-cam? :(

  • really like this exposition but i would like to know about camera sybchronisation with sony video 8 handycam.

  • @shelbysuncle All versions of PPro are simpler. This chick...I think it's a chick..likes making things complex. This multiple nested sequence thing is the nuttiest technique I've ever seen, and I've been editing since I was in my dad's balls.

  • @returntoyourfather try after effects

  • @shelbysuncle To finish up...I do that as the video plays. As soon as I pause, it drops in the edit points. When I'm done editing, I can make a new composite track with the edited clips. I can do "rolling edits" to slip the end of one clip and the start of the next. I can set up a multicam edit in a minute, and edit an hour long show like a live switch in an hour.

Seriously! All these sequences inside sequences? That's nuts!

  • I use Edius to edit 4 camera shoots, and decided to watch this to see what's involved in setting up a multi-cam edit. Is Premiere Pro 5 a lot simpler, because this is insane! When I do a multicam in Edius 5, I put the 4 camera views on 4 AV tracks, sync them (usually to a camera flash) and switch to Multi-Cam mode. My screen switches to a split screen with one large image of the currently selected video, and 2 3 or 4 smaller ones of the other cams. Then I just hit the numbers on the keypad.

  • This is because you've forgotten to pay for mpg support.

  • you cannot, but it's hard.

  • I can't put mp3 or mpeg audio on my movie, can someone help? :S

  • Thank you This is exactaly what i needed!
