This technique is the one Si Pavey teaches on the BMW Off Road skills course, and so if it is good enough for him........!! The other tip of course is to make sure the bike is in gear.

@PlexusMusic I've picked up an ER-6 the wrong way from the top. The Triumph I dropped once, thought my ss was down.... pick up only works from the bottom as he just did.

I spent 3 and a half hours edging a f650gs Dakar out of deep mud.... On the road its easy to pick up..... A day in deep mud and sand soon brings total despair to the user!!! I literally start dreaming of helicopter air lifts to get me out. I also dream of a 50cc scooter I can just pick up.... If you ride by yourself you can find yourself getting stuck with ease, beginner or expert. Learn to lift, but avoid getting stuck at all costs. The only difference is the expert gets stuck less.
