  • so what happens if the spinal chord is severed????

  • Then i assume you loose all control of your micturition reflex and will pee yourself all the time because your brain wont tell you to go to the toilet.

  • One detail omitted: during urination, tiny sphincters in the URETERS leading from the kidneys (one from each, thus two total) tighten in order to prevent urine from backflowing into the kidneys whilst the bladder's detrusor muscle is contracted.
