This is a live improvised soundscape using a Godin XTSA guitar, fed into a Roland GR-33 guitar synthesiser and a Boss RC-20XL looper and Boss DD-20 delay pedal.

This is great. I'd often messed about with delay but never even had heard of fripp at that time...its almost as if fate took me there. I still use primitive effects and an ebow to generate my soundscapes but hope to get proper synth capabilities. Would you recommend the Boss RC looper then? I only use Korg ax1500g at the mo

Thanks!
I'm using the RC-50 now, which allows you to loop three different sounds against each other in stereo. It's quite powerful, but if you are only starting out, I'd recommended trying the RC-20XL or the RC-2, which is a budget version of the former.
Good luck and have fun with it!

this is unreal, i haven't discovered much music like this. I use a looper myself but never like this, must be very interesting to be playing it. how long have you been playing? this style of music as well as guitar in general?

I started to learn bass guitar back in 1987 and slowly moved over to the guitar in 1990. My experiments with MIDI guitar and ambient looping began in 1994.

Hi,
I'm considering getting a Godin xtSA, primarily for synth access. How do you like the guitar in general, and more specifically, how is the synth tracking?

The xtSA suits my playing style and the synth tracking is the best I've known and I've done internal GK-2A MIDI conversions on Strats and LPs and they don't compare to the xtSA. I wholeheartedly recommend them!
