@wilcoxr62 Mine is a '66 coupe. Nassau Blue w/ dark blue leather interior. It's an original 427/450 horse car. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be a 425 horse. According to Nolan Adams, early production big block Corvettes were rated 450. It's not matching numbers. Actually a '67 block. Blueprinted, balanced, aluminum heads, roller cam (so I don't have to adjust the solid lifters), etc. You've got one heck of a car there so take good care of it.

@wilcoxr62 Congratulations from me too! You are one lucky son-of-a-gun. I dream of owning this car every time I watch the video. Swore I'd buy it if I won the lottery. I even considered trading my '66 427 Sting Ray for it. Hope you all enjoy your ride. Be sure to post some videos of the car!

@DmanDipper actually some were altered wheelbase cars from the factory as because these already were low low low production have to be a factory backed racer to have the ability to buy em cars! there are some plymouths and chevy novas like this around.

why altered?
DmanDipper 3 months ago
@DmanDipper Why not? These cars were built that way in the 60s' , so successful at racing that they were outlawed for a time, then brought back due to public demand. This is a BAD BAD machine.

I wonder also about running stacks on the street, especially i Texas where you might encounter more than avaerage amounts of abrasive dust in the air. I wonder also about the close tolerance of the stacks to the opening in the hood. Doesn't the torqueing of the motor in the mounts make the stacks contact the edge of the hole in the hood? Just wondering..

@55chh Yes, dust and pigeons are problems. The engine stays in place and loves birds
