Oh Death, Where is Your Sting?

If there is anything certain in this life it is that we will all die one day, unless the rapture takes place while you are still alive and you are a Christian or you, believer and unbeliever alike, are still alive when Jesus returns.

Most of us try to avoid the subject of death because we are scared of it. But as Christians, we should not have fear of death; most of the Christian population are in fear of death because of ignorance, because of not knowing the truth of what happens when we die.

In this recording, Pastor Matthew tackles the subject of what happens when those who follow Christ and those who don't die, and does so by explaining the following from a biblical point of view:

1. Some facts about death
2. What happened when a person died before Jesus' resurrection
3. What happened when Jesus died
4. What happens at death since the resurrection of Jesus
5. How we should approach and understand death

If we understand what will happen to us as Christians when we die, we will lose our fear of death. And if we understand what happens when an unbeliever dies, we will be moved to pray more for the salvation of those close to us and to evangelising more.
