@towringer i used to eat there a lot in the 1980's. a steak & all you can eat salad & shrimp bar. i truly miss it. today the SIZZZLER is my choice. too bad it's so far from home. a lot of them have closed in NEW YORK. i settle for CHINESE BUFFET. enjoy. ****
There used to be one in Bricktown, NJ in the early 80s. All I remember is that my brother threw up in the parking lot after the all-you-can-eat shrimp special.
There used to be a Beefsteak Charlies on Rt. 22 in Union, NJ in the 80's in the "island' between Rt. 22 East & West. Yes, they did have wonderful steak tips. Their spokesman was a man dressed in a barbershop quartet costume. It was a restaurant called Emerson's in the '70's and is now a Red Lobster.
There was one with Beefsteak Charlie himself and some black entertainer back in the mid seventies. That was a hoot. I hope someone can find it and post it here.
