@alex18209 Yeah but in season 15 the last episode Carter hinted that he may come back to County for good! Therefore, the show COULD have technically still gone on (even though I feel it still did okay without him).

@DRnikkiHOUSE He couldn't close it. There was a scene in an earlier episode when Susan spent the night at his place and when he lied down he realized he was unable to close his eye. He had to use artificial tears too.

@Iloveneelasam nope E.R didn't die with Mark's death, it was with Carter's departure that ER die or at least that's what I think. However I just think Mark's death is one of the saddest moments in TV history EVER
